Community Facilities
Hilltown CDC works with our
target communities and other nonprofits to identify facilities
projects, secure funding for them and supervise their construction..
Community facilities projects include: the removal of architectural
barriers in town-owned or privately owned buildings and parks,
infrastructure improvements including the replacement of waterlines and
roads, design and construction of senior centers, and various facility
design projects.
Recent community facilities projects have included:
- Construction of a $1,200,000 addition to the Worthington Health Center.
- A $400,000 renovation and conversion of the Chesterfield Grange building, into the Chesterfield Senior Center.
- A $509,000 barriers-removal project to install an elevator at the Williamsburg Town Office building.
- A feasibility and planning
project to construct a new senior center for the Town of Windsor.
Coordinated an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) survey to evaluate
access to Windsor programs and services and completed a transition plan
for removal of structural barriers to accessibility.
- A contract with Hampshire Care
of Hampshire County to oversee the designer selection and construction
management for a new $1,000,000 hospice facility.
