SOCIAL
SERVICES Hilltown CDC seeks
to support the highest possible
quality of life for the most vulnerable residents of our Hilltown
community. We
work to bring social services to the Hilltowns through organizing, advocacy,
resource development and direct program administration. During the most
recent year Hilltown CDC delivered
7,930 hours of in-home caregiving services, primarily chore and
transportation
assistance, to over 100 eligible low-income Hilltown elders through the
Hilltown Elder Network (HEN) Program,
at
no cost to the participants. An
additional 554 hours of supervision by town coordinators was provided,
creating
an aggregate 8,484 hours of elder services delivered by HEN to elders.
This
year HEN caregiving staff provided 13,400 miles of transportation to
elders for
medical and other necessary purposes.
