Strengthening small businesses for a vibrant rural economy

Hilltown CDC supports economic development in the Hilltowns by fostering the start-up and growth of local businesses, which strengthens the local economy and creates more local jobs. We offer FREE classes to all Hilltown residents and free business consulting to both existing and prospective small businesses.

Free Classes for Hilltown Business Owners

Hilltown CDC partners with the Southern Hilltown Adult Education Center (SHAEC) and the Jacob’s Ladder Business Association (JLBA) to offer dozens of FREE classes year-round in business marketing, bookkeeping, administration, and more. Classes are cross-listed on our events page and on the SHAEC website and publicized through our monthly Hilltown Small Business e-Newsletter.

Individualized technical assistance is also available on a variety of subjects including:

  • Business Planning

  • Marketing

  • Bookkeeping

  • Tax Preparation

  • Payroll

  • POS Services

Local businesses may also list their services in the Hilltown Business Directory which is distributed annually to 15,000 Hilltown households in 23 towns.
