Hilltown CDC’s Housing Rehabilitation Program provides eligible homeowners with deferred payment loans in order to address code violations and improve living conditions for low-and moderate-income households.  A wide range of repairs are eligible including lead paint abatement, septic system repair, roof replacement and more.  Program benefits include no interest/no monthly payment on loans that may be completely forgiven, and assistance with project specs, project oversight, and contractor selection.

Eligibility Guidelines

In order to qualify for assistance, homeowners should:

  • Live in a single-family, owner-occupied housing unit (condos are not eligible for this program);
  • Be current with property taxes and mortgage payments;
  • Have lived in their home for more than a year; and
  • Fall within the income guidelines.

The eligibility of program applicants will be determined on an individual basis. Other restrictions or requirements may apply depending on a household’s current situation and circumstances. See our detailed description of the housing rehab process and housing rehab fact sheet.
