Hilltown Community Development is a private non-profit organization in rural western Massachusetts working to support rural development and prosperity in the region by improving housing, strengthening social services, leveraging funding, and stimulating the local economy.

OUR MISSION

Hilltown Community Development seeks to improve the quality of life for Hilltown residents by addressing economic, housing, education, social and community needs while preserving the rural character of the area.

  • We build and renovate homes and apartments for Hilltown families, seniors, veterans and first-time home buyers

  • We make it possible for seniors to live in their Hilltown homes with assistance from the Hilltown Elder Network (HEN) and Health Outreach Program for Elders (HOPE)

  • We offer childcare subsidies to families in need and help feed families through the Hilltown Food Pantry

  • We provide low-cost van transportation to medical appointments and other destinations for seniors in five rural towns

  • We strengthen small local businesses with workshops, networking and marketing through our Hilltown Business Directory

  • We stimulate the creative economy by showcasing the arts, music and culture and offering educational programming
